Choosing the Right Photography Coverage for Your Hotel or Restaurant

Hotels and restaurants often aren’t sure how much coverage they actually need when booking hospitality photography for the first time. Here’s how to think about it.

Start with how the images will be used

A website refresh, an OTA listing update, and a full marketing campaign each need different coverage. Website and listing photography typically needs solid interior, room, and amenity coverage; a marketing campaign usually adds food, service, and guest-experience imagery on top.

Match coverage to property size

A boutique property with a handful of rooms and one restaurant needs meaningfully less time than a large hotel with multiple dining outlets, event spaces, and room categories — coverage should scale with the property, not follow a one-size package.

Plan around light, not just hours

Interiors, food, and evening ambience often photograph best at different times of day. A shoot spread across a day (or split across two visits) usually outperforms trying to cover everything in one rushed block.
